Daughters of Immigrants Project Symposium

13 + 14 MAY 2021, the Daughters of Immigrants Project will be hosting an online symposium, where scholars from around North America and Europe will be brought together to discuss their research.

Both days will be kicked off with a public keynote lecture.


"American Dream, Conservative Immigrants."

"Kitchen Poets and Sister Griots: Storytelling in the work of Edwidge Danticat."

Dr. Susana Morris (Georgia Institute of Technology)

May 14th, 12:30-1:30PM (ADT)


To close off the event, a public Creative Showcase will be held on May 14th, 6:30-8:00PM (ADT). The showcase will feature a short film by Kourtney Jackson, a poetry reading by Doretta Lau, a film and talk by V. T. Nayani and a musical performance by Falana.
